Gold prices today soar to all-time high in Pakistan, reaching Rs314,000 per tola
Pakistan’s gold price soars to unprecedented heights on Friday, following a thunderous rise in the international prices. The price of gold per tola surged by an astonished Rs 4,700 in one single day, and it reached a historic level of Rs 314,000.
The unprecedented gains on the local market came amid a global rush for gold when international bullion prices spiked with the acceleration of demand of $46 for an ounce after 18 days of somewhat ceasefire, touching $2,988. The shockwaves were certainly felt in Pakistan as well, where 24-carat gold per 10 grams also saw a rise of Rs 4,030 to settle at Rs 269,204.
Silver too marked an increase, where per tola silver gained Rs 90 to Rs 3,530, while 10 grams climbed Rs 77 to Rs 3,026.
Notably, this record bullish gain follows a steady upward trend, as just the previous day saw gold upwardly gain $27 per ounce in the global market and Rs 2,800 per tola in the local arena, a precursor to this highest-ever price.
